LoockMe: Deep Learning-based Detection of Greek Locations and Landmarks: A Qualitative Analysis of Weakly Supervised Classification and Supervised Detection

A publication entitled: “LoockMe: Deep Learning-based Detection of Greek Locations and Landmarks: A Qualitative Analysis of Weakly Supervised Classification and Supervised Detection”​ was presented at the 8th IEEE International Conference on Mathematics and Computers in Sciences and Industry in Athens (14 – 16 October 2023).

An interesting point about this work is that quantitative metrics alone are so misleading, especially for tasks like segmentation or image detection, making qualitative analysis of deep learning models essential to the evaluation process.
